Home for Poor Children & Senior Citizens has been adopted by SJK Charitable Trust and S.K.’s Educational Academy. This noble idea to start a home for poor, orphan and destitute children along with healthy, poor senior citizens with boarding and lodging has struck our mind because of the diminishing strength of the 20 Corporation Urdu Schools, English Medium which were adopted by S.K’s Educational Academy (SKEDA) in the year 2003 by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Corporation of Chennai. In the year 2004, the Corporation of Chennai has given an official permission to establish a hostel inside the premises to establish a hostel inside the premises of Corporation Urdu School, Peters Road, Chennai, for poor children so as to enhance the strength of students in the school and to enroll healthy senior citizens for taking care of these children. In the span of three years, the total strength of these 20 schools had raised from 200 to 3200 with the team work of teaching staff, parents and the local people and in the Hostel we have 28 girls inmates who are provided free boarding, and lodging along with moral, deeniyath, school and sports education.

In few school, the strength could not be increased due to various reasons. By providing moral, school, sports and IT education, we anticipate more admission in these schools, thus avoiding the closure of these schools. SKEDA appointed additional teachers, provided notebooks, added nutrition to noon meals, provided teaching of tailoring, typewriting and computers to the students and their parents, and computers to the students and their parents, and started Montessori teacher assistant course for the dropouts girls around the school area which were the basic factors for the significant development

The income for this project is minimal & therefore we appeal to the Philanthropists to kindly donate liberally towards the annual sponsorship of inmates & to meet the expenses for running these schools. We also request generous personalities like yourself to come forward & to join with us in this challenging task for the sake of poor, orphan, destitute children and senior citizens to comfort and bring them up on sound footing, that will ultimately help us in protecting these schools, which were the Institutions, where our elders were educated.

We appeal to you good self for generous donations and kind support for this noble cause.
